LAS VEGAS -- At the rate Jon Gosselin is going, no one would be surprised to see him as the host of the E! network’s “Wild On” series.

Having been cut loose from his wife Kate, the father of eight is living the bachelor life in a way that only reality stars can, by hosting a pool party in Las Vegas.

What does he have to lose? In an interview with Regis Philbin earlier this week, Kate Gosselin affirmed that the couple’s marriage is irreconcilable.

The Aug. 29 event, a plunge at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic pool, has all the makings of a one-time reality special. Even the invitation bills Gosselin as a “paparazzi-magnet” who will “indulge in an afternoon under the sun with friends, fans and hundreds of bikini-clad partygoers.”

While it’s not as infamous as the Hard Rock’s “Rehab” parties, which is home to a reality series, the Wet Republic pool has its share of celebrity hosts. Gosselin will be following the footsteps of reality queens the Kardashians, among others.

Who will be watching the kids while Gosselin is partying poolside? That's a question that went unanswered on the invitation.
