HENDERSON, Nev. -- A woman sleeping in her apartment was beaten and sexually assaulted early Friday morning, police said.

The man broke into the apartment near Warm Springs Road and Green Valley Parkway around 1:37 a.m. Police said he got inside through a sliding glass patio door, despite the apartment being on the third floor.

The victim, who was knocked unconscious during the attack, could not provide a description of the man. She woke up after he had left.
