Bridge Construction Closures Start Tonight

LAS VEGAS -- Drivers on the valley’s west side will notice some temporary closures this weekend in the area near the Summerlin Parkway interchange with U.S. 95.Crews are currently constructing a new overpass that will link the northern and southern ends of Tenaya Way. For years, drivers have had to use alternate routes to get through the area because Tenaya Way is split by Summerlin Parkway.Work on the $7.9 million project started in January and was scheduled to be complete in 10 months.The following temporary closures include:Beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, July 10, through 5 a.m. Sunday, July 12, Summerlin Parkway will be closed westbound from U.S. 95 to Buffalo Drive. Beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, through 5 a.m. Thursday, July 16, Summerlin Parkway will be closed eastbound at Buffalo Drive. Beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, July 17, through 5 a.m. Sunday, July 19, Summerlin Parkway will be closed eastbound at Buffalo Drive to U.S. 95.
