LAS VEGAS -- The 2-year old Las Vegas boy found floating in his family’s pool over the weekend died from his injuries Monday, Metro police announced today.Police did not release the child’s name. The boy’s parents told police they were inside their house, near Flamingo Road and Jones Road, when they noticed the boy was missing.
Video: Keeping Your Pool Safe In The SummerWhen his father saw the boy in the pool, he pulled him out and began performing CPR.Doctors at Sunrise Hospital said the boy was in critical condition when he arrived.“If you have toys by the pool area, please remove them,” urged Metro Police spokeswoman Lisa Teele. “Small children are enticed by toys, which may lead them into the pool.”Police said the pool did not have a gate or fence surrounding it.
