LAS VEGAS -- Attorneys for disgraced football star O.J. Simpson will go before a Nevada Supreme Court panel Aug. 3 to request their client be released from prison pending his appeal.Simpson is serving 7 ½ to 27 years for robbing a pair of sports memorabilia dealers at the Palace Station hotel in Las Vegas in 2007.He filed an appeal earlier this year, claiming the conviction was tainted by judicial misconduct, a lack of racial diversity on the jury, and errors in sentencing and jury instructions.Read O.J. Simpson’s AppealA three-member court panel will hear 30 minutes of arguments from Simpson’s lawyers.The panel will also hear a separate request that same day from lawyers for Simpson co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart.
