LAS VEGAS -- The live-in cardiologist who treated Michael Jackson is a Las Vegas doctor. Dr. Conrad Murray's office is located at the Global Cardiovascular Center on Flamingo Road near Eastern Avenue.Police were reportedly speaking with Murray on Friday.A patient of his in Las Vegas had only good things to say about him, the patient told FOX5 exclusively. She said he was a fantastic doctor, cared tremendously and did not prescribe pain medications.Murray is a cardiologist licensed in California, Texas and Nevada. He was reportedly performing CPR on Jackson when paramedics arrived.Murray accompanied Jackson to the hospital, where investigators spoke with him briefly. Police have impounded the doctor's car and plan to question him further.Donna Dijiacomo, a patient of Murray’s for more than two years, said she has never had a better doctor.“He was kind, of one of the kindest, most gentlest man that I’ve ever met as a doctor,” she said. “I really put my life in his hands because I trusted him that much.”The Los Angeles Times reported Murray was hired by a concert promoter to accompany Jackson on his comeback tour.Dijiacomo also said she doesn't believe her doctor is at fault.“He would never, ever, ever intentionally hurt anyone, and if anything, he worked on Michael for that long amount of time because he felt he could bring him back," Dijiacomo said.Dijiacomo said she still would trust Murray -- despite the accusations. She said Murray used a holistic approach, encouraged stress-free living and would not prescribe pain medications.“He just didn't believe in that. He didn't really like it,” Dijiacomo said.On Friday, she encouraged Jackson fans and everyone else to wait for the facts.“It’s not like I’m trying to go against Michael. I love Michael, and I think Dr. Murray did too, because he’s a loving man, a very loving man," Dijiacomo said.Dijiacomo said Murray performed surgery on her in May and then told her he was taking a sabbatical. She estimated he was only living with Jackson for a couple of weeks at most.Murray has also practiced out of St. Rose Dominican Hospital and Desert Springs Hospital. His Las Vegas office is closed. Murray also has practices in Houston and Los Angeles. He has no history of discipline in any of those places. But in the last year, Murray had been hit with legal judgments totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars.
