LAS VEGAS -- There is new information in a case seen only on FOX5. A mother has been charged with child endangerment and obstruction after investigators said she left her 1-year-old locked in a car while she went shopping.

A witness told police Tia Patterson went into a pet store with her 6-year-old, leaving her 1-year-old strapped into a car seat with the air conditioning on low.

An officer rescued the child, who had a fever and was taken to a hospital.

Patterson was found based on her description from a witness and was arrested.
