LAS VEGAS -- A Sierra Vista High School senior won a brand new Honda Fit as part of the district's Drive For Excellence program.

Desert Honda awarded the wheels to graduating senior Brooks Klein.

Klein won the car in a drawing at the Drive For Excellence event and was presented with the keys Monday.

“It was exciting. I mean, I was shocked. My dad had to push me up to the stage. I just kind of stood there and looked at my raffle ticket," Klein said.

To qualify for the car drawing, students had to have zero un-excused absences and a 3.7 GPA or higher. Five-hundred students entered the drawing.

Klein is headed to college this fall at Western Nevada.
