UNLV President David Ashley was reported to be in Singapore Thursday as rumors spread that his job was on the line back in Las Vegas.

A spokesperson said he had not spoken with Ashley and he was not available for interviews.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Chancellor Jim Rogers and Regent Mark Alden said they're hearing complaints about Ashley's management style.

Ashley signed a four-year contract to run UNLV in 2006, replacing former president Carol Harter.
