If you’re going to throw a graduation party, Mesquite police would prefer you do it on their terms.

The town, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, is hosting an all-night party for Virgin Valley High School graduates at the Mesquite Recreation Center from 10 p.m. Thursday, June 4 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 5.

The event is sponsored by the Mesquite Police Officers Association.

Participating seniors will enjoy food, games, prizes and the swimming pool. Much of the prizes and food came from donations.

“A lot of our officers donate a lot of time, a lot of energy, anything they can do to make the evening safer,” said Robert Everett with the Mesquite Police Department.

Virgin Valley seniors will graduate Thursday night.
