On the day they buried Officer James Manor, Las Vegas Metro police released new photos and a copy of the program from his funeral.

The photos portray Manor’s life on and off duty and give the public its first look at Manor’s 8-year-old daughter, Jayla.

Manor, 28, was a 1999 Clark High School graduate who attended Eastern Michigan University and graduated with a degree in communications. Described by friends as a natural athlete, Manor was captain of his college football team and later went on to coach varsity football at Western High School in Las Vegas.

Friends said Manor’s mother instilled a sense of volunteerism in her son. He was active in the community, volunteering at the Doolittle Community Center and also the Andre Agassi School.

Manor joined the Metro Police department in 2007. He was killed just 13 days shy of his second anniversary with the police force.
