Police Search For More Victims Of Teacher

Boulder City Teacher Charged With Child Pornography

A Boulder City teacher arrested for child pornography is now facing even more charges.

Charles Richards Rogers is accused of sexual assault and using a minor to produce pornography.

Police said the investigation is not over, because they believe more victims are out there.

Some people called him Rick Rogers. He was a soccer coach, teacher, foster parent -- and at one time -- a volunteer police officer.

“I’m totally shocked. These teachers are doing all these things. I thought they were checked out ahead of time," said Boulder City resident Christi Martin.

“We're in this little bedroom community," said resident Mark Marino. “You hear about this creepiness ... don't believe it's happening."

Police have just scratched the surface of this case, discovering photos and videos that have led to eight more charges.

They said they believe Rogers' activity has been going on for years and that even more victims could be out there.

They're asking for photos, videos, anything from any child that has had contact with Rogers.

Some residents said their children had been around Rogers, and that nothing had happened.

Police now have to dig through several computers, videos and other media. They said they have a lot of children to identify.

“People are people, and people do bad things. Our focus right now is on the children, the victims," said Boulder City Chief of Police, Thomas Finn.

Henderson police are helping out, and the team will start sifting through the evidence Friday.

Rogers is expected in court on Tuesday.
