LAS VEGAS -- It may be April Fools’ Day for some, but as far as county firefighters are concerned, it's the annual April Pools’ Day.On Wednesday, the Clark County and North Las Vegas fire departments teamed up to get the word out about preventing drownings. They were helping out the Safe Kids Coalition. The firefighters went door-to-door to more than 300 houses hanging door hangers with drowning prevention messages in both English and Spanish.“What it really boils down to is, Clark County has their ABCDs of drowning prevention, and the first rule is adult supervision. We just have to be aware of where our children are at all times," said Cedriv Williams of the North Las Vegas Fire Department. There have been four drownings and 10 near-drownings in the Valley so far this year.
