LAS VEGAS -- Two rural schools will remain open, despite complaints of budget problems.The total number of students in both Lundy Elementary at on Yellow Pine Road and Goodsprings Elementary at 385 San Pedro Street 15.The district was debating on whether to close them after this school year.Thursday night, the board members voted to give the schools a break for at least another year."I am overjoyed, overwhelmed with emotion ... such a shame to see that school close," said Lundy parent Deanna Rabice.There are now volunteers, instead of paid employees, for everything from custodial duties to physical education and music teachers.
