Tuition Would Go Up More Than 200 Percent, Chancellor Says

Thousands turned out on the campus of University Nevada, Las Vegas, Thursday night to protest budget cuts.

Gov. Jim Gibbons has proposed to trim over $475 million from higher education in Nevada.

Students, faculty and administrators all aimed to put a stop to it.

Chancellor Jim Rogers said with the proposed cuts, UNLV tuition would have to go up more than 200 percent.
