Plan Would Help Neighborhoods Hit By Foreclosures

LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas City Council has given the green light to a neighborhood stabilization plan.The $20.6 million plan will now be submitted to the office of Housing and Urban Development to help neighborhoods hit hard by foreclosure.If approved, the funding will be used to purchase foreclosed homes that'll be leased-to-own or rented.Funding may also be used for a down-payment assistance program.
