Metro police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

Just after 5:30 a.m., officers were called to Tropicana Avenue just under the Interstate 95 overpass, where they found the person lying in the road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still looking for the driver, who fled the scene after the incident. Anyone with information has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
