NORTH LAS VEGAS -- Police are calling the deaths of two people whose bodies were found by a truck in a remote area of the desert on Monday a murder-suicide.

North Las Vegas police Sgt. Justin Ryan said police found the bodies at about 3 p.m. by a truck in a remote area near Interstate 215 and Losee Road.

He said both were identified at the scene, but only one identity has been released.

Jeffrey L. Lingle, 38, of Las Vegas, died from a gunshot wound to the head, which has been ruled as a suicide, police said.

Ryan said the incident is still under investigation.
