LAS VEGAS -- More than 15,000 Las Vegans packed Coronado High School to see Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama Saturday. This weekend's trip marks the Illinois senator's 20th visit to Nevada, and the thousands that were there to support him want to see a Democratic win."For the past eight years, I've been ready for this," said voter Diedra Smith. "I've voted both ways in the past. (But I'm voting for Obama) because we need a change in this country, big time."During his campaign speech, Obama focused on numbers: fewer jobs, tax cuts and big money going to Wall Street."You've been watching all their ads," he said. "Do you have any sense whatsoever of what he would do differently from President George W. Bush? No. That's because he spends all his time talking about me."While Nevada is still marginally considered a swing state, Obama did take the lead during early voting by more than 10 percent.Republican candidate Sen. John McCain will be in Las Vegas Monday, as will Obama's wife, Michelle.
