LAS VEGAS -- Clark County School District is facing another round of budget cuts.Superintendent Dr. Walt Rulffes said the district needs to cut an additional $120 million from the budget for each of the next two school years. That means vital services and positions, plus programs like music and sports, will be on the table.Friday morning, Rulffes was in studio at FOX5 and was asked if he can guarantee a quality education for Valley students."I'm not sure I can guarantee that. I think if we treat education as though it's expendable, we need to face the consequences that we may not be able to continue with the progress we've been making," Rulffes said.In a letter to staff members, Rulffes said he plans to follow a sequence of cuts to reach the $120 million. He said $32 million will come from the administrative budget, $22 million from the district’s fund balance, $9 million from district-wide cuts and a 3.5 percent cut from each school, which will total $57 million.
