LAS VEGAS -- Virgin America, the California-based airline, announced it will add another daily non-stop flight between McCarran Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.Effective Dec. 11, Virgin America will have two daily flights on the route.“Since launching the route, we’ve seen growing demand from both leisure and business travelers,” Virgin America President and CEO David Cush said in a news release. “With attractive fares and features like mood lighting, custom designed leather seats and the most advanced in-flight entertainment in the U.S., guests are finding that our upscale, high-value service is the only way to travel between two cities that never sleep."On Sept. 4, Virgin America launched the nonstop route with an inaugural flight, featuring the in-flight advance screening of the first episode of Entourage Season 5. Virgin said it has seen strong and growing demand since launching the route.“At a time when many U.S. carriers are cutting routes and amenities, we’re pleased to be adding flights to world-class destinations like Las Vegas and to have the opportunity to offer more travelers our award-winning service and low fares,” Cush said in the release.
