Suspended District Judge Elizabeth Halverson is scheduled to be out of the hospital and back in a Clark County court Tuesday.

Halverson is expected to testify against her husband, Edward Halverson, in front of a grand jury.

Ed Halverson has been in police custody on $113,000 bail for more than two weeks on suspicion of attacking his wife with a frying pan.

On Sept. 5, Elizabeth Halverson called police after, she said, her husband hit her on the head with a frying pan. She was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she had surgery to repair her fractured skull, said family friend Bobbi Tackett.

She was released from the hospital on Sunday and reportedly has 100 staples in her head.

Edward Halverson faces battery and attempted murder charges in connection with the attack. Since he has been previously convicted on burglary charges, his sentence may be upgraded if he is convicted.
