The tough economic times are trickling down to McCarran Airport.

The latest numbers show the number of passengers traveling through the airport in August were down almost 10 percent from the same time last year.

Fewer than 4 million people flew in and out of Las Vegas during the month, aviation officials said. This is the biggest drop since the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
