Obama Says He Needs Supporters' Help

Cashman Field was crowded with 14,000 people Wednesday night to see Sen. Barack Obama.

He spoke to the crowd about the economy, health care and education.

It was a long day for the senator's supporters, many who turned out as early as 11 a.m. to get inside. It was packed, and it was loud.

It looked like a big game, but instead, it was a big Obama rally.

Many of the people there were young voters and excited supporters.

“Just everybody can come here. I’ve seen a lot of people from my school. It's a fun setting,” said Obama supporter Stephanie Mendizabal.

Others were hoping to take a closer look.

“I’m undecided currently. I’ve heard him speak before ... I'd like to see if I get something new out of it,” said undecided voter Daniel Trujillo.

“Look at this audience. People from every background, every age, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, young and old, gay and straight. This is America,” Obama said.

“He brings all people together. I like that. I like that about him,” said Wealtha Jones.

The crowd seemed to like his message, which Obama called "change we can believe in."

“If you want tax relief for the middle class and millions of new jobs and a new energy economy … If you want healthcare you can afford, so our children can compete, a better education ... Then I ask you to knock on some doors ... Talk to your neighbors,” Obama said.

Obama pitched the need to help him out many times in the 30 minute speech.

“If you are willing to march with me, go block by block, then not only are we going to win Nevada, we are going to win this election. We're going to change this country,” Obama said.

Obama spent the morning in Elko and will be in another battleground state, New Mexico, on Thursday.
