After being attacked with a frying pan, leaving her with a fractured skull, suspended judge Elizabeth Halverson has begun rehab. That's according to her longtime friend, Bobbi Tackett.

Halverson was attacked by her husband, Edward Halverson, on Sept. 4 after she threatened to kick her unemployed husband out of the house, Tackett said. She was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she had a surgery to repair the damage.

According to Tackett, Elizabeth Halverson asked him to do a chore that night, but he ignored her. She was angry and going to kick him out of the house that night, and called her sister and asked her to phone 911, Tackett added.

That's when Edward Halverson attacked her, hitting her in the head with a frying pan, Tackett said.

Edward Halverson, 49, is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on $113,000 bail.

Elizabeth Halverson was suspended from the bench in July 2007 after she was accused of mishandling trials, mistreating staff and falling asleep on the bench. She has denied the allegations.
