LAS VEGAS -- This weekend is going to be a busy one for businesses around town.Between flying and going to the lake, places will be packed.McCarran Airport officials will have about 450,000 people come through the airport this Labor Day weekend. They said even though the numbers are down from previous years, travelers should still call ahead.“Call ahead. Make sure everything is coming in on time, particularly with a lot of cutbacks in flights -- not a lot of spare capacity. If you miss your flight, it’s tougher to get a stand-by seat. The airlines will let you know what to do,” said airport official Chris Jones.McCarran officials want to remind the public that, starting Tuesday, the parking lot near Paradise and East Russell roads will be closing.
