Charity Golf Tourney Helps Military Families

Proceeds Help Troops, Families Of Wounded Soldiers

Faculty and staff from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, College of Education hosted a charity golf tournament for wounded soldiers and their families.

Players gathered at the Tournament Players Club early Friday morning. They were treated to breakfast before taking the course, and will have lunch once the games are completed.

Part of the proceeds from the tournament will go to Troops to Teachers, Spouses to Teachers and Family Members of Severely Wounded Soldiers programs. The rest will be used as scholarships for military personnel, their spouses or family members to pursue a career in teaching.
