LVCVA: Overseas Tourists Still Visiting
UK, Japan, Australian Residents Top International Tourists

LAS VEGAS -- Overall tourism is down in Las Vegas, but the city is seeing an increase in one set of visitors, said officials from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Bureau.In the past five years, more visitors from overseas have been flocking to Las Vegas. It went up 20 percent in 2004, 13 percent in 2005, receded a bit in 2006 and came back in full force in 2007, tourism officials said.The opportunity, lifestyle and economy are what draw a lot of visitors to Vegas from overseas. Most of the visitors are coming form the United Kingdom. Japanese visitors come in second and Australian tourists rank third.
