LAS VEGAS -- A Valley man is in critical condition after his truck was broadsided during an early-morning wreck, Metro police said.

Around 4:30 a.m. Friday, officers were called to the collision at Desert Inn Road and Town Center Drive.

The truck was turning onto Town Center Drive with a protected green light when it was struck by an SUV that ran the red light, police said.

Emergency crews took the driver of the SUV to University Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the truck escaped the incident with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers are still investigating the wreck and have not said if charges will be filed.
