A leaking fire extinguisher caused a mild panic at a Las Vegas convenience store, closing it for a few hours Thursday morning.

A worker at the 7-Eleven near Stewart Avenue and Lamb Boulevard reported the substance just after 3 a.m. Thursday.

After arriving at the scene, hazmat crews determined that a malfunctioning fire extinguisher spilled the powder onto the floor.

No one was injured during the incident.
