LAS VEGAS -- Two men were seriously injured after a gun battle involving occupants of two cars near West Tropicana Avenue and South Fort Apache Road, Metro police said.Police responded to calls that three people were involved in a shooting at about noon Friday.Preliminary reports said one man had died. Police are now saying that was not the case.Soon after, police said they received a call from a man who said he and his friend were shot in the head and were driving themselves to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson.When they arrived at the hospital, both men were airlifted to University Medical Center Trauma, authorities said. One man is in serious, but critical, condition, and the other man is in critical, but stable, condition.Police said a third person involved in the shooting has been taken into custody.
