LAS VEGAS -- One person was killed and another was hospitalized in critical condition after an SUV crashed into a bus stop early Monday.It happened just after 5:30 a.m. at Flamingo Road and Boulder Highway.The driver of a red SUV lost control of the vehicle and struck a bus stop, where two people were waiting, police said. The car then rolled over.One person was killed in the wreck. The second person was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police have closed northbound Boulder Highway at the intersection for investigations. They recommend Nellis Boulevard or Mountain Vista Streets as alternate routes.
