LAS VEGAS -- The parents of a boy who died after being left in an SUV for more than 17 hours have been arrested in connection with his death.Stan and Colleen Rimer were booked into the Clark County Detention Center Wednesday afternoon.Jason Rimer, 4, was discovered by one of his older siblings on June 9. After a preliminary investigation, police determined that Rimer had been left in his parents' SUV in the driveway for more than 17 hours.Colleen and Stan Rimer, who both said they were feeling ill the day Jason died, said a 19-year-old brother was responsible for bringing the boy in the house after church.
They added they did not find it unusual for Jason to disappear because he had special needs and liked sleeping behind furniture. The Rimers face seven charges in connection with Jason's death and their care of four other minor children: second-degree murder, child abuse and neglect and five counts of child abuse and neglect or endangerment.
