Metro Names Woman Killed In NHP Wreck
Police Investigating Trooper's Medical History

LAS VEGAS -- Metro police have identified a woman who was killed during a wreck with an off-duty state trooper.Ying H. Warren, 49, of Las Vegas, was riding with an unidentified man in a Toyota when they were hit by St. Edward Lattin in the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue.Witnesses said Lattin lost control of his truck, driving it up the sidewalk, hitting a pole, then swerving back into the street, before rear-ending and running over the top of a Toyota, investigators said.The Toyota then fell into the pickup.
Warren was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was taken to an area hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.Before the wreck, Lattin may have fallen into a diabetic coma, investigators said. He does not remember causing the collision, but has volunteered for a blood alcohol test.Police will be researching Lattin's medical history during the investigation.He is not facing any charges at this time.
