LAS VEGAS -- A 4-year-old boy has been found dead in a car, police said.

Officers received the call about the unresponsive child around 8:30 a.m. Monday. They found the toddler in a car in parked at a residence in the 4900 block of East Cleveland Avenue.

When fire and medical crews arrived at the scene, they declared the child dead.

Police did not say what caused the child's death and are still investigating the crime, but said the child's family lived in the residence where he was discovered.

Detectives with Metro's Homicide and Abuse and Neglect divisions are aiding police in the investigation.
