Man Was Crushed By Crane Counterweight

LAS VEGAS -- Metro police have identified the man who they say was killed by a crane's counterweight at the CityCenter construction site.Dustin Tarter, 39, of Henderson, was oiling part of the crane Saturday as it started lifting cargo into the air. Tarter got stuck in the tracks and was crushed by the crane's counterweight, officials said.His death has been ruled accidental in nature.The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is still investigating this death.
Tarter is the sixth work-related fatality at the site, which is scheduled to open in November 2009.
