HENDERSON, Nev. -- The valley received some much-needed rain Friday.A rain storm traveling from the south to the north brought scattered showers to Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson and Primm.Areas over Lake Mead received thunderstorms, lightning and even hail.Friday was one of the coolest days ever recorded for May 23, with an average temperature of 63 degrees.
A 40 percent chance of rain was forecast for Friday night and Saturday, with a high of 68 on Saturday.Sunday and Monday looked better, with a high of 71 Sunday and 79 on Monday.
