LAS VEGAS -- In honor of the impending holiday weekend, Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson and Dr. Miriam Adelson will welcome the wounded soldiers to the Venetian.

Fourty soldiers most recently injured in the war overseas -- and their families -- will be offered a weekend at the mega-resort, Adelson's representatives said.

The soldiers will be welcomed with a ceremony beginning at 5 p.m.

Adelson said he is offering this to the troops in recognition of the sacrifices they make to protect the U.S.
