LAS VEGAS -- Two men are in police custody after they robbed a liquor store, ran from police -- crashing the car in the process -- and attempted to carjack two more cars, police said.The escapade started at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday near Hacienda Avenue and Rogers Street.After the men robbed a liquor store, police said they fled in a white car westbound on Hacienda Avenue, where they crashed into another car. The car was forced onto the sidewalk and hit a construction sign, police said.The men then fled on foot and attempted to carjack two more vehicles but failed, investigators said.
One man eventually returned to the scene and was taken into custody, police said. A K-9 unit found the other man a short time later.While officers are still investigating the incidents, both men are facing hit-and-run and carjacking charges.Police said no one was seriously injured during the ordeal.
