FOX5 Looks At Vdara Hotel
Condo First Of 6 High-Rise Towers At CityCenter

LAS VEGAS -- FOX5 was given a peek into the new Vdara condo hotel at CityCenter.It is the first of six high-rise towers at the center, and it was topped off Wednesday.The project is expected to provide 14,000 new jobs -- good news when the economy is slumping, and gaming and tourism are down.“When the economy is slow, it’s a good time to be building and developing in the hopes that you will catch the up cycle when you open the new product … I think everything we’re experiencing now, both locally and nationally, will be history two years from now,” said CityCenter President and CEO Bobby Baldwin.
The Vdara is expected to open next August.Then, two more hotels will open in November, and the main casino will open in December.
