THE RANT: Good, Bad Road Rage

THE RANT

TOPIC: Water Shortage

NAME: Mary

RANT: With the way the building is going on throughout our valley, one would think we have an endless supply of water. Where is the water going to come from to support all of the new hotel rooms and all of the new houses? We already are told when we can water our yards, and our water bills have gone up, yet again. When is there going to be a building moratorium placed so our grandchildren will be able to have water to drink?

TOPIC: Road Repairs

NAME: Pat

RANT: The County Transportation Department needs to complete one project at a time. Roads are coned off 2 to 3 miles from where the "so-called" work is to be completed. The sorry part is you never see anyone working, regardless of what time you go through these projects. If these workers are afraid of getting hit, the valley drivers don't care if it is 2 miles or 50 feet. While driving through California, at least you see one person in a truck watching for the turtles that are crossing the road.

NAME: Elaine

RANT: Wow! Thursday morning I got on Interstate 95 South at Ann Road, and there wasn't a backup. The new added lane has made a big difference, as well as I-95 north between Craig and Ann roads. A big "thank you" to all the workers who worked nights to get this running smoothly.

TOPIC: Mortgage Crisis

NAME: Terri

RANT: I am really disheartened at the way the mortgage crisis is being handled. I recently went to the bank to ask for help and was told I am not a priority, because I have yet to be late on a payment. How do they expect to clear this mess up if there is no help out there for people who don't want to wait until they are in trouble? It seems to be easier to just let your house foreclose and not care.

TOPIC: Unmedicated Child Birth

NAME: Janice

RANT: Finally! Someone else who is an advocate of giving birth without the use of medication! My physician told me upfront that he did not believe in using medication during the birth process and that woman are quite capable of delivering without the use of risky medications. I am so glad he did! I spoke with other women who also went through the process without medication. They all agreed that it was a great experience. I delivered my son without the use of any medication. It was a wonderful, beautiful and memorable bonding experience to have with my newborn son and his father.
