Shots were fired near Cheyenne High School at 3200 W. Alexander Road Wednesday afternoon.

North Las Vegas and school police said there was an after-school activity going on, and a non-student came onto campus, because he had a problem with one of the students in the activity.

Shots were fired, but no one was hit and no property was damaged, police said.

Police do not yet have anyone in custody.

Authorities said they found some shell casings at the scene.
