The case of a missing Henderson woman is now a possible murder mystery.

The new developments bring more questions than answers.

Lindsay Harris, 22, was last on May 6, 2005, on her way to the Luxor.

Later that month, a pair of severed legs was found 1,600 miles away, outside Springfield, Ill., in a grassy area off of Interstate 55.

It wasn’t until Friday that DNA from Harris’ toothbrush was able to be matched with the body parts of the missing Henderson woman.

At the time the legs were found, a police department forensic anthropologist was able to determine they belonged to a woman. The woman’s hair color was also determined, and a partial tattoo was found on one of the legs.

Illinois police found no matches when they ran DNA tests and were only able to find out about Harris after they worked with the FBI on a national level years later.

Police have no leads on how her legs ended up in Illinois, and there are no suspects.

Harris’ mother, Martha Harris, released the following statement: "Our family is happy that they are finally able to bring Lindsay home and that the family is finally restored. We have been waiting a long time for this and will now hold a church service for Lindsay with her friends and family. We are extremely grateful for everything everyone has done, and we are happy to bring her home and put her to rest."

Harris was 21 when she disappeared.

In 2003, Harris moved to Henderson with boyfriend Soloman Barron.

Following her disappearance, Barron told FOX5 she worked as a dancer for three different entertainment services.

On May 6, 2005, she left a voicemail message saying she was headed to the Luxor, but Soloman claimed he called back, and she never picked up.

Her picture went around the country on television show America's Most Wanted.

Eight months after her disappearance, family and friends scoured Henderson searching for any sign of the missing woman with no luck.
