LAS VEGAS -- An argument on the side of the road has left a man in critical condition after he exited the vehicle, police say.

Just after 10 p.m. Tuesday, a couple -- who were arguing in the car -- pulled over near Durango Drive and Mountains Edge Parkway.

When he realized the fight would not stop, police said the man exited the car. An oncoming driver did not see the man in time and swerved, but struck the man, police said.

He was taken to University Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Metro is still investigating this wreck and have not filed charges against the driver at this time.
