Construction Deaths Prompt New Protection

LAS VEGAS -- After a string of construction deaths in the valley, a house committee is now going to oversee keeping construction workers safe.Ten workers have died at construction sites in the last 17 months.Now, a workforce protection subcommittee will review whether the safety standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are adequate and being followed.A spokesman for the house committee is blaming tight construction deadlines for the deaths.
