Police ID 2 Killed In Home Invasion

LAS VEGAS -- The two people who were shot and killed after an apparent robbery in the north part of the valley have been identified by police.The man suspected of committing a home invasion was Michael James Miller, 38. It is not known where he was from.The homeowner who was shot and killed was Sharon Randolph, 57, of Las Vegas.It happened Thursday night near West Ann Road and North Rainbow Boulevard.
Police said the homeowners knew Miller and that he was a day laborer they hired to do odd jobs.According to police, at about 9 p.m., a couple returned home and caught Miller robbing their house.Police said he shot Randolph, killing her.Then her husband got into a scuffle with Miller and ended up shooting and killing him, police said.Police said the husband was not in custody, and they don't consider him to be a suspect.Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
