Two educational institutions will come together to recognize and applaud the passion of budding photography exhibition.

Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, the College of Southern Nevada will host the work of more than 150 outstanding young photographers at its 41st annual student photography.

Established in 1967, the Clark County School District student photography contest showcases the work of high school students who have a passion for photography and the visual arts.

This year's contest received more than 2,000 submissions from 24 high schools in fields that include architecture, nature, people and special effects.

All contest winners will have their photo framed and receive a certificate of achievement as well as an award ribbon for their work. There will also be prize packages offered to the winning photographers.

The photos will be available for viewing at CSN's Telecommunications Building of the Cheyenne campus.
