A judge has ruled the Palo Verde High School shooting case will go to trial.

Two teens who police said shot and killed a Palo Verde sophomore were in court for a preliminary hearing Monday.

Ezekiel Williams, 18, and Gerald Davison, 16, were arrested in February after they shot and killed Chris Privett, 15, outside of Palo Verde High School, police said.

The preliminary hearing has lasted three days and included testimony from 11 people. Closing arguments were heard Monday.

The next arraignment is May 12.

Both teenagers face murder charges, and Davison will be tried as an adult.

Williams' lawyer said he is trying to get the trial separated so that the two teenagers won’t be tried together.
