Two young brothers have been arrested in connection with a graffiti spree that goes back two years, police said.

Officers were tipped off to the boys tagging after two signs -- "Abek" and "Emps" -- were painted onto Diaz Elementary School April 8.

After completing an investigation into the tags, police said they were able to identify two boys, ages 14 and 12.

The pair admitted to tagging in the northwest part of the Valley and North Las Vegas for the past two years.

Both are being charged with several misdemeanor counts and a felony count of placing graffiti.

The damage caused by the graffiti at the school is estimated to be between $40,000 and $50,000, police said.
