Many people were likely lured to ATA because of the cheaper prices offered on the discount carrier.

Travel agents said it’s probably best to spend the extra money on a major airline when booking a trip.

That makes it easier to get rebooking options, because major airlines have bigger backing.

Agents said travel insurance is another consideration.
